"Tug" was a film I designed/set decorated with my buddies William Matthews and Harold Cronk in the summer of 2008 with TickTock Studios in Holland MI. It's  about a small town guy trying to decide between staying with his current girlfriend or going back to his psycho ex. The main set was an empty house owned by the responsible Carl (Maulik Pancholy) and party boy Sam (Sam Huntington). We were given the task to make this empty house look kept up by Carl and intruded on by Sam. Carl also was a barber, so we transformed an old run down garage into a stylish working barber shop for Carl (still one of my favorite sets). We had one studio set build, the bathroom, because the practical bathroom was too small. The other challenge was the "leaky kitchen ceiling". The ceiling had to progress from small leak, to the eventual collapse of the ceiling. I remember wandering around the aisles of  Home Depot looking for inspiration for this gag. We had fun toilet papering the yard of the hero house, clean up was not so fun lol.
