THE RESURECTION OF GAVIN STONE

The Resurrection of Gavin Stone was a feature I designed in the spring of 2016 in the Chicago Suburb of Elgin. With a very small budget an art department of five, we had our work cut out for us. The biggest challenge of this film visually was the massive mega church we filmed in. The space was very industrial and with the wide spaces was difficult bring in texture on our limited budget. My favorite challenge and aspect of this film was designing the play within the story. Coming from a theater background, it was fun diving back into the world moveable theater sets and props.  Probably my favorite set was the bar tv set we built for the story. I love it when stories incorporate behind the scenes of film and tv. I was so proud of what my team accomplished with this set in such little time.
